It is hard to beat a day of floating through the Ozarks on gin clear, spring-fed water catching feisty smallmouth bass on light tackle. Relief from the warmest days comes in the form of a dip in the stream while your shore lunch is sizzling on the stove. A glimpse of an otter, turkey or deer is always a possibility.
